# Governance

veSHN as a governance token enables community participation in controlling:

* Fees & distribution parameters for all types of OTC deals
* Granting RayDAO membership NFTs (private deals)
* Assets in ShineDAO treasury

Facilitation of this process is done through continuous approval voting whereby holders of veSHN (supporters) create and participate in various initiatives and funding proposals.
